Oscars 2016: My Favorite Red Carpet Looks

Last night awards season came to a close with the Academy Awards. It was a big night all around – Leo finally won his Oscar, Chris Rock delivered a smart and hilarious monologue. But of course, several of Hollywood’s leading ladies stole the show with their red carpet looks. Here are my faves!

Jennifer Lawrence

jennifer-lawerence-2fcf2cc6-0916-4c3e-a3bb-e80b7b78ecaf

This might be one of Jennifer Lawrence’s most daring red carpet looks to date, and I love it!  This plunging neckline on her Dior Haute Couture gown, with the textured black bottom is a great mix of sexy and elegance.

Saoirse Ronan

saoirse-ronan-14845fb1-4f6d-49ba-b4c3-86cadf9fdd32

Emerald is a rarity on the red carpet, and Saoirse Ronan nailed it in this Calvin Klein stunner!

Brie Larson

brie-larson-31463463-20da-4e5b-bc90-629b0e5814b5

The best actress winner (and star of my favorite film this year) looked elegant in this Gucci number. I love how she didn’t go overboard on the jewelry since the belt is a statement piece in and of itself!

Cate Blanchett

cate-blanchett-221574f0-c5c7-4412-8b79-9d60ef21e0bb

This woman can do no wrong, and proves it yet again in this textured Armani Privé gown!

Jennifer Jason Leigh

This gown has all the makings of my dream dress: pale pink, texture and flowers! Thank you Marchesa for this beauty!

Rooney Mara

This sleek, lace, cutout gown by Givenchy Haute Couture couldn’t look better on anyone else!

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts is the prettiest mermaid I ever did see in this Armani Privé gown!

Priyanka Chopra

This Zuhair Murad gown is so romantic! It could double as a wedding gown for a daring bride!

2016 Grammys: My Favorite Looks

Last night, the 58th annual Grammy Awards took place (on a Monday night), which continued the slew of red carpet glam this awards season. To be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed with the choices, but do have a few faves!

Carrie Underwood

carrie-underwood-6c0ecf61-ba44-4d56-bef4-0de8cd39a0e9

Starting this out with one of my red carpet all-stars, Carrie Underwood! She looked flawless as usual in this Nicolas Jebran gown, featuring a slit that could make even Angelina Jolie blush!

Kaley Cuoco

kaley-cuoco-da605672-fc4a-4dd4-ab3f-0515951939bd

Another red carpet pro who nails it every time, Kaley Cucoco switched things up with a cut-out sparkly jumpsuit by Naeem Khan.

Bella Hadid

bella-hadid-698c00c7-5c07-4dd8-8303-c95918cc2fcd

The “other Hadid” who also happens to be a supermodel (good genes!) rocked this skin-tight cutout sparkler by Alexandre Vauthier.

Gulianna Rancic

gulianna-rancic-85c8e634-13e5-4605-bd06-64b82be6479b

Again, my favorites were killing it last night!  The Fashion Police host looked statuesque in this gold gown.

Nicole Trunfio

nicole-trunfio-160ba65d-2e53-40eb-be79-fda6eccdc752

I guess it’s not fair that she’s a model, but this Zuhair Murad jumpsuit was made for Trunfio!

SAG Awards: My Favorite Looks

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were held this past Saturday night, and as always, the celebs delivered some serious glam on the red carpet. Here are my faves!

Rachel McAdams

rachel-mcadams-57568c86-32e3-4abc-83e1-e97af3452dd2

McAdams looks like a goddess in this Elie Saab nude and black sequin gown!

Kaley Cuoco

kaley-cuoco-c0c53ee9-1d33-4e45-9cba-bb04145f7745

In my opinion, Kaley Cuoco always nails it on the red carpet! This Ramona Keveza gown showcases her physique and highlights her abs and arms. Anyone else jealous?

Alicia Vikander

alicia-vikander-0006c6de-302e-4d58-ac4f-6ac2111efea4

As Rachel Zoe would say, “I love a sequin!” and this Louis Vuitton gown is the queen of all sequin gowns!

Helen Mirren

helen-mirren-6360c740-97c0-46a8-8ba6-43914dc1ca04

The Queen doesn’t disappoint in this Jenny Packham gown!

Laura Prepon

laura-prepon-54925d4b-2dad-4ed1-b3fe-5fc82d7ba0f5

I’m still not used to Donna Pinciotti as a brunette, but this cream gown compliments her coloring perfectly!

Maisie Williams

maisie-williams-6c43a02f-02e8-405d-b4f7-6326e0cedc1f

This textured, royal blue, Ermanno Scervino tea-length gown is not only stunning, but age appropriate!

Christina Ricci

This light color gown mixes girly and sexy just perfectly!

Priyanka Chopra

priyanka-chopra-dd0d5b69-dde5-459b-97dd-daaf056beaba

Nude, pink, and tulle are a combination made in fashion heaven, according to me, anyway! Monique Lhuillier really knows the way to my heart.

Giuliana Rancic

giuliana-rancic-637edaa8-dc84-4636-b62c-a19359c6a7c7

Not only is Giuliana good at hosting the red carpet, but she slays it, as well! Check her out in this textured Gauri & Nainika tea-length gown!

Critics Choice Awards: My Favorite Looks

Last night, awards season continued with The Critics Choice Awards. As always, there was the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here’s my take on the “goods!”

Krysten Ritter

krysten-ritter-fc610bb9-8137-41e9-a176-1a634cb19327.jpg

This garnet Zuhair Murad gown perfectly compliments Ritter’s coloring, and the touch of sparkles glam it up just enough to make it red-carpet-worthy, but not too over the top!

Leslie Mann

leslie-mann-5a5675cd-367e-4165-ac0f-72483a0ca060.jpg

If you’ve been following my favorite red carpet looks, then you know that for me, a little bit of fluff goes a long way, and to me, this dress is perfection!

Marisa Tomei

marisa-tomei-fa710b1a-0548-4c46-8331-e85d37c7c8da

In a sea of gowns, Marisa Tomei opted for a Zuhair Murad mini with gorgeous touches of lace.

Carly Chaikin

carly-chaikin-0bbc452b-6b33-4501-a04e-bdd7692e777c

I have a feeling this ensemble isn’t going to be a favorite of many, but I just love the neutral tone with a subtle splash of color in the belt. The boho-chic feel of this gown is something not many ladies can pull off, and I think Chaikin pulls this off seamlessly!

January Jones

january-jones1-c434b919-89d8-4fbe-a93c-eee3ff22ae6d

Ok, let’s be real,  January Jones can put a garbage bag on and still end up on a best dressed list. This art-deco inspired Altuzarra gown in powder blue, compliments not only her coloring but her perfect frame.

Alicia Vikander

alicia-vikander-ef2d0fc6-b6e3-4435-8042-55ff51d36272

This textured Mary Katranzou dress is certainly a show-stopper! With all of the embellishments, it looks like this gown may weigh a ton, but it’s certainly worth it!

Kate Beckinsale

kate-beckinsale-3727ee71-faaa-4dbf-8781-57b56b8b8f4f

Another art-deco inspired gown from one of my favorite designers, Monique Lhuillier. This delicate color is worn so well by Beckinsale, how could it not be on a favorite list?

Golden Globes 2016: My Favorite Looks

Award Season kicked off last night with the Golden Globes! Check out some of my favorite red carpet looks. Who were your faves?

Rooney Mara

rooney mara

This Alexander McQueen gown perfectly pairs cutting-edge fashion with a feminine appeal.

Lily James

Lily James

They way to my little fashion heart is always something soft and flowy. The fact that it’s Marchesa is the cherry on top!

Jennifer Lawrence

I was just telling my coworker this morning that Jennifer Lawrence is always my number one on the red carpet, and of course nailed it in this Dior Haute Couture number.

Amber Heard

Amber Heard

This soft-pink gown is certainly something to dream about from Gucci!

Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo is one of those people who can do no wrong when it comes to fashion in my eye. Just look at her in this Delpozo number…Not many people can pull this off, but she sure does!

Cate Blanchett

cate blanchett

Cate is classy for classy in this art-deco detailed Givenchy Haute Couture by Ricardo Tisci gown.

Malin Akerman

Kate Hudson

I’m a sucker for a two-piece gown, and Kate Hudson (and her abs) nailed it in this Michael Kors ensemble.

Jenna Dewan Tatum

jenna dewan tatum

Mrs. Tatum is a real-life princess in this Zuhair Murad ball gown.

Corinne Foxx

corinne foxx

Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, served as Miss Golden Globe 2016 in this stunning age-appropriate number.

Grammys 2015: Rihanna’s Dress + Madonna’s Mess

In my opinion, the Grammys aren’t what they used to be, but the red carpet fashion is always worth tuning in for.  As always, there were some hits, misses and disasters. My favorite red carpet look this year comes from Rihanna, wearing a very feminine Giambattista Valli:

rihanna grammys 2015

This dress encompasses two of the things I love most: pink and fluff!  I personally love when Rihanna, who is queen of edge, shows off a softer, more feminine side, and you can totally tell she’s loving it! Check out these pics from last night of her twirling and smiling:

My least favorite look of the night comes from Madonna, and here’s why:
