Back to My Roots

I’ve always loved writing. I’m not the best speaker and found writing really allows for me to express my thoughts and feelings.

I’ve been somewhat uninspired over the last few years. Sure, I’d write on the blog, but it wasn’t until I had my daughter did I really feel passionate about a topic to write about. You guessed it – everything about being a mommy!

I’m not the most serious of people, but did manage to squeeze out some emotions in my Babble piece about having a preemie. So, I’ve continued to write – sometimes serious, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, and found a great outlet in the Red Tricycle Spoke Contributor Network!

I’m really excited to share my thoughts and experiences on this wonderful platform! Here are my first two pieces:

My Gestational Diabetes Ignorance

Six Reasons It’s Time For Some “Me Time”

Hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as I enjoy writing them!

CoPromote and Collaborate

Want to meet like-minded influencers who you can collaborate with and share your content? CoPromote is the place to do so!

I know I don’t talk about the “business of blogging” on here much, but definitely want to share a trick of the trade. Starting a blog is not easy – you have to think of a theme, content, editorial calendar; then of course implement a PR and social media plan; because you know, it’s never just as easy as, “If you write it, they will come.”  Enter CoPromote!

The platform allows for you to boost your content to like-minded people who will share with their audience…all for free! (There is a Pro option, too. More on that later!)  It’s really simple once you create an account:

  1. Click “boost”
  2. Pick your post
  3. Choose up to three relevant genres your post relates to
  4. BOOST!

The free account allows for you to boost only one post at a time, and in order for you to reach more people, you have to share others’ content. It’s a really smart way to bring people of similar interests together to share each other’s content. The platform itself allows for you to follow other CoPromoters, so you can easily access CoPromoters you like and share their content.

The Pro version, as mentioned earlier, is the paid option, which includes three levels:

  • Pro ($49 a month)
  • Platinum ($99 a month)
  • Max ($499 a month)

These options provide additional boosting and insights for your posts. While the Max plan may seem steep, insights and reporting are a huge benefit to bloggers, as it pinpoints your audience and in turn you can tailor your content accordingly.

Go ahead, give it a whirl. Let me know what you think!
